RAY MONITORING CENTER ANNOUNCES INITIAL EXIT POLL RESULTS.

Baku, 15 October (AzerTAc) - The preliminary exit poll released by the Ray Monitoring Center suggests presidential candidate Ilham Aliyev won 80.5% of vote while the other candidates failed to clear the 6% vote barrier. Director of the Ray monitoring center Rizvan Abasov said the exit-poll was conducted in 64 constituencies, over 500 poling stations. The poll covered Baku, Sumgait, Absheron cities and over 40 regions. Abasov stressed more accurate data will be released two days later. According to him, citizens better understood the nature of the exit-poll and willingly answered the questions at this election.
