NSW: Carr predicts tough session of parliament

New South Wales Premier BOB CARR has warned his ministry to expect a tough session
of parliament when it resumes tomorrow.

The autumn session begins on Tuesday after a 118-day break, sitting for two weeks before
breaking again for Easter.

The government foreshadowed last week it would introduce up to 20 bills in the first week.

Mr CARR has told reporters that the state government will be under pressure and he's
told Labor ministers to take nothing for granted.

Among the package of bills to go to the house is a 12-month freeze on poker machines,
DNA testing of criminals or suspects and videotaping court proceedings.
