Fed: Crowe healthier and fitter at 40

RUSSELL CROWE says he's fitter and healthier at 40 than he was at 30.

The New Zealand-born actor turns 40 tomorrow and will celebrate the milestone on the
set of his latest film - The Cinderella Man - in Toronto, Canada.

In a letter released by his Australian publicist WENDY DAY, CROWE says he's never been
someone who's been bothered about getting older.

He says while training for The Cinderella Man, which he starts shooting in late April,
his body definitely let him know it's feeling its years.

But he says the positive of that training is that he'll turn 40 weighing less than
he did when he was 30.

CROWE's latest film co-stars RENEE ZELLWEGER and is directed by RON HOWARD.

The Cinderella Man tells the story of boxer and folk hero JIM BRADDOCK.
